NEXT wednesday, AUGUST 21st at 6:00pm.
Help us reach our goal of supporting 100 MENSTRUATORS in NEED.
Get your $15 ticket for the PERIODICAL film screening!
One of our motivations for planning this film screening was to show support for menstruators in our community. Period supplies are necessities, not luxuries. Period poverty is the inability to afford or access period products (pads, tampons, liners, menstrual cups and other basic hygiene items) in order to manage a period.
• 2 in 5 menstruators have struggled to purchase period products in the past year due to lack of income.
• 1 in 3 low income women have missed school or work because they cannot afford to manage their period.
• There is no federal aid program that can be used to purchase period products
Proceeds from the ticket sales of the Periodical film screening will go directly to Milwaukee Diaper Mission and their work to provide period products to individuals who need them. Can't make the film screening? You can donate instead at the link below. Thank you for your support!
Special thanks to Bay View Printing Company for designing and printing these amazing posters with artwork from Artery Ink and Renaissance Theaterworks for helping us with all the logistics!
THANK YOU to our community partners:
Bavette La Boucherie + Cafe Corazon
Periodical ticket-holders receive 20% off at these amazing restaurants Wednesday, August 21st through Saturday, August 24th!
We realized that the event ends close to closing time for both of these restaurants, but don’t worry if you can’t grab an early dinner before the show, they have extended the discount through Saturday!

Join us after the film for a short discussion and Q+A with our amazing panelists!

Wisconsin State Representative Robyn Vining (@robynvining) represents the 14th Assembly District, which includes the people of Wauwatosa and West Allis. She lives in Wauwatosa with her husband (a professor), where they have raised two children. In Madison, you will find her working on legislation to improve the health and lives of children and families (including infant and maternal health), combat violent crimes against women and children, and protect reproductive rights. She has co-sponsored legislation to repeal the “Pink Tax” and introduced bills to provide free menstrual hygiene products in public schools, state buildings, county jails, and state prisons. Her work is driven by the hope that when we move forward as a state, we move forward together.
Nicole Dachs is the co-founder and creator of @milwaukeeperiodparties and a long-time volunteer of the Milwaukee Diaper Mission Period Program. She is a fierce advocate for period equity, creating awareness around the reality of period poverty, and having open conversations to break stigmas and shame surronding menstruation.
And Rebecca, INTERWOVXN co-founder and women's health acupuncturist, will be rounding out the panel and asking the questions! If time allows, we hope to include a few questions from the audience.
